I have often wondered if the eyes really are the window to one’s soul. I have heard about the experiments that many have carried out trying to prove this. I am still unsure about it.
It’s simple enough to see if someone is sad, angry, or happy just by looking at their eyes. Is it possible to see who they really are? Can we figure out what their goals are, what their past was like, who are they really, and what they dream about at night?
It seems that getting to know a person is the best way to know anything about them. Going out, talking to that person, maybe just watching a movie together. But sometimes you can really get to know a person once you sit in silence with them.
The eyes are full of expression and I think that it’s important to take the time to look people in the eyes when you’re talking to them and even when you’re not.
So, I wanted to try it out. I have made a video where I look straight at the camera. I cut out the blinks so as not to distract you and I did nothing with the sound. I didn’t want to add music because I didn’t want that to affect your judgement of me.
I would like for you to watch the video and tell me… who am I? And maybe if you want to participate as well, post a video response of you doing the same thing, and I’ll try to figure out who you are.

Like you said, besides someones emotions you cant really tell who they are just by looking in their eyes but what I do find interesting is trying to find which eye is the dominant eye on a person. In your case I am guessing that your right eye is more dominant. There are ways you could determine that for yourself (just do a search on google and you’ll find out how) and in case you do, it would be cool to hear if my guess was right. As far as the eyes being the window to the soul, I think the best example is by looking at the “mona lisa” … I think Da Vinci is one of the only people who knew the answer and shows it on her face. @paco I did a test online and I got that I am right eye dominant. That is pretty cool. But I don’t know when I will ever use this information! How did you figure my right eye was the dominant one?
Most right handed people are right eye dominant and considering most people are right handed, it is a pretty safe bet that you would be right eye dominant.
However, as I was watching your first video I noticed how your left eye seems to be a bit smaller than the right and while staring at both eyes I got the impression that most of your focus is through your right eye. This size difference was not the case throughout the video as both your eyes looked to be the same size after just a few seconds.
Our brain is divided into 2 hemispheres, each side has a very different way of processing information. Depending on which eye is the dominant one, the visual information gets processed differently … all this to say that if your left eye was the dominant one you would probably be a different person today. I did an experiment where I tested the eye dominance of some friends/family and separated them in 2 categories … one of the observation made was how most that were left eye dominant were a lot better at painting a picture while giving directions. For example, instead of just telling you to turn right on the 3rd street light which is called 8th avenue they will tell you to turn right when you see a gas station etc.
So although you cannot tell someone’s personality by knowing their eye dominance, it is still pretty cool how they share certain commonalities.
Your question of “when will I ever use this information” is a very logical question … typical strength of the logical left brain. Probably safe to say that you think very logically.
