Leopard Skin is Portable

So this is another night posting, but I did manage to post my picture during the day!
I spent most of my day running errands and making phone calls because I’m changing my address. It’s been a little hectic with that, but I’m sure it’ll all be done by next week. Yay!
This picture is one that I took with my Coolpix. The reason I like this picture is because the pink on the flower turns dark and it looks like it’s a hole almost. I thought that was cool. I named this, Leopard Skin is Portable, from a line of a poem I wrote. It’s called The Blue Mist.
The Blue Mist
Leopard skin is portable
Television, black and white
A city in a box
Importing and exporting
It’s good to feel at home
It’s bad to be at home
Honesty arise
The blue mist is enough
The blue mist is my leopard skin.
This poem is open to interpretation. I’d love to read any thoughts on it. :) Sometimes I find that I write a lot less than I used to and I wonder if that’s because I’ve run out of ideas, or because I don’t want to write them down anymore. I was talking to my best friend the other day about musicians and songwriters. I was wondering how these artists can keep writing music and not just lyrics, but melodies too. And the most incredible part is that even after 20 years they can still write new things.
The strangest part is when a band or an artist stops making music forever. Then when you go on your iTunes and you listen to them, you know that that’s all you’re going to hear from them… ever. Unless for some miraculous reason they come back and decide to make music again. So we’re lucky that we have Paul and Ringo to keep the legacy alive, but as for the Beatles? All we have is what we’ve already gotten of them.
Well I’m not going to drag this on, just something to think about. I’m looking forward to the weekend. Thanks for reading!
